Two Rivers Park
We are sure that most of you have at least noticed, if not visited, Two Rivers Park. The park is located at the old site of the Fall River Feed Store. For park access, there is a parking area on the east side of the street, and a cross walk for you to safely enter the park on the other side of the street.
At this time, the scenic trail around the perimeter of the park has been developed. We are aware of the puncture vine issue that exists. The District is working on weed abatement within the park and hope to get it under control very soon. Make sure you check your shoes when you get back to your car! You do not want to carry any back to your property.
The future of the park is under development. The District has been awarded a grant from the State of California which will enable us to provide weed ebatement, greening, and benches on the active side. On the other side of the river at Two Rivers West, there will be a small parking area and access to a trail for pedestrian use. This is the area at the end of Grand Rapids.
With future grants the District plans to add two pavilions, picnic tables, information kiosk, entry arch, drinking fountain, bathroom facilities and more. It is our hope that it will be a place for the community to gather and be proud of.
If you would like to volunteer in any way or have input you would like to share about your vision for our community park, place contact the District office or email Amber Beck, the Parks Manager.
